A group of Quinnipiac University students heard the story of a man from Bawa who lost his mother on the long trek to the hospital while giving birth to his sister. He made it his mission to help his villagers never feel the pain that he felt. Together with the Bawa Health Initiative we are funding the building and sustainability of a health center in this village. With no health center within 6 miles, and no transportation, this facility will be equipped with 30 beds, a pharmacy, medical staff, and an ambulance. Not only will this facility help the 300 villagers of Bawa, but also surrounding villages. Last year we cleared the land for the health center by sending back $2,500. Together we can continue to make this dream a reality...simply by drinking our morning coffee.
